New Initiatives

In-Home Healthcare   Our partnership with Unity Family Home Care has been a great service to our older adults. They have a competent team of nurses and home health aides who provide in-home services to elders in our service area. Our elders are now able to get access to non-medical AND medical care through our office. The advantage is that now we can coordinate all the support the elder receives.

Wellness Project   We have been expanding this pilot project that began in 2005. We now hold a weekly exercise class and provide materials for elders to exercise regularly at home with a partner. We provide a monthly health talk and health screenings in conjunction with our elder luncheons. We are continuing to expand the wellness opportunities through our new “Minutes of Movement” project.
